Deviation Actions
For the information of all group members:
I've kept the Digital, CGI, and Featured folders closed under vote submission to prevent the incorrect type of material from flowing through. This does create a filter, but my job would be made easier if the following functions were adhered to:
- Digital is for computer-based 2-dimensional drawings and paintings. Sketches and blueprints should go into the WIP folder.
- CGI is for 3-dimensional, computer-generated renderings and models. Unfinished sculpts should go into the WIP folder.
- The Featured folder is our group showcase. It features some of the best art we've been privileged with receiving, and in small quantities. Note that this is not a folder for gallery dumps! The rest of the folders are for regular submissions.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this! I hope that clears up policy.
- Kind regards

Re-Opening the Floodgates
I'm about ready to set re-set folder to accept submissions freely, without an acceptance form. For this to work, I will obviously require member participation:
- Please read folder descriptions before submitting
If there is any confusion regarding folder descriptions, please contact me via this blog post, note, or group homepage comments
If unsure where to submit because of a problem in the folder description, please ask me
- Look at what folders are available before submission
- View what content is already in the folder before submission
This will save me headaches.
- If a deviation is notably out of place, contact me throug
Submissions: Apologies
I'd like to offer my apologies in the speed of accepting gallery submissions. Over the past two weeks I've have a bout of the flu and needed to finish up my academics for the semester. Everything will probably pick up to normal speed after December 11.
If anyone would be interested in assisting with assigning gallery submissions, I'd be happy to brief them and give them an administrator spot.
Thank you,
~ SotD
P.S. - Don't make this hold up your submissions- keep them coming!
Clarification
Based on a few recent submissions, there seems to be some confusion about our group acceptance policy over the clause "armor". The edit has been made now, however as this group is named MechsandMachines, the implication is mechanical armor.
Examples of this could be the Blood Ravens from Warhammer 40k, or Master Chief's Mjolnir Armor from Halo.
I apologize for the confusion for people who have attempted to submit here, the confusion has been cleaned up. Thank you for understanding.
Information on Folders
I've noticed some misplaced deviations, so I would just like to clarify the use of the "Sketches" gallery folder. The Sketches Folder is for... sketches. Nothing else. This means quick pencil/digital drawings or blueprints, not photography, polished or finished works. Please READ THE FOLDER DESCRIPTIONS. Regulations will be placed if the gallery submissions don't match up with the gallery folder. Please mind your folders before submission.
Note to admins: Please, if you see any misplaced deviations, clean them up according to gallery folder descriptions or inform me.
Thank you.
